SCHOLARSHIPS
The Roseville Alumni Chapter supports our annual Scholarship Program, established to encourage, and assist our youth to continue their formal education. The underlying premise of the program is that educational institutions impart knowledge and skills that equip individuals to address society’s problems successfully. The Roseville Alumni Chapter has an on-going interest and responsibility in helping our youth achieve their potential.
Purpose
The Roseville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. has established the Guide Right scholarships to recognize outstanding minority high school seniors pursuing college studies. The program provides scholarships to exceptional students to assist with first-year college expenses.
eligibility criteria
To be eligible for a Guide Right scholarship, a student must meet the following requirements:
The applicant must have satisfied, or be in the process of meeting, all requirements for awarding a high school diploma from an accredited Roseville Joint Union high school district school by the close of the current academic year.
The applicant shall possess a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 Scale.
The applicant must have demonstrated academic excellence and outstanding community service through activities, volunteerism, and work experience.
The applicant must be a citizen of the United States.
The applicant must have applied and gained acceptance to an accredited two or four-year college or university for the fall term after their high school graduation.
The applicant must submit a written application and agree to a personal interview.
Selection criteria
Applicants will be evaluated on their academic performance, leadership, participation in school and community activities, work experience, educational aspirations, and the strength of their statement.
