TRAINING FOR LEADERSHIP

The Roseville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, Fraternity, Inc., was chartered on December 15, 2004. It became the fraternity’s second alumni chapter in the Sacramento area, and was the first such African-American organization established in the Roseville California community.Initial chapter officers were: Polemarch - Ivann E. Greene, Vice Polemarch – Merrell O. Wilson, Keeper of Records – Kobie Smith, Assistant Keeper of Records – Clifton Richardson, Keeper of Exchequer – Robert A. Matthews, Board of Directors – John N. Colen, Michael J. Papin, and Thomas L. Williams. In addition, there were 18 other charter members.

 

OUR MISSION

The Roseville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. welcomes professional men who are interested in becoming a member of an organization that gives back to the community. The chapter is predicated upon and dedicated to the principles of achievement in every field human endeavor. The goal of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity is not the simple accumulation of members. Our emphasis is on the quality and integrity of membership, and our members serve as positive role models within our communities and help accomplish the goals and objectives of the fraternity.

The Chapter’s focus is on forging community partnerships to provide service, fund-raising to assist our youth in their pursuit of higher education, providing mentorship, supporting leadership training to youths attending Roseville area schools and  supporting our strong Kappa League and Guide Right Program.

What We've Achieved

  • Long term partnership with the Striving for Achievement Foundation to support educational and leadership needs among youth in our community.

  • The Roseville Alumni Chapter has provide scholarships to young men and women in our community to pursue high a higher education.

  • Developed and hosted our Kappa League program offering educational and leadership skills geared toward African American youth. Kappa League has also provided college tour programs to high school junior and seniors.

  • Supported our annual Thanksgiving Meal Program, which provides meals to families within the Roseville community.

  • Sustained our annual Family Christmas Celebration. Through this program that Roseville Alumni Chapter identifies and provides meals and Christmas presents to an adopted family in need within our community.

  • The Roseville Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi has supported programs hosted by other organizations that seek to make a difference in the lives of young men and women in the greater Sacramento area.
